NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Middle England at its best!  Northamptonshire is a long thin County aligned along a southwest to northeast axis, with its County Town of Northampton, a large city, not too far from the centre.  The south western end is pleasantly pastoral with rolling hills around the small towns of Aynho and Brackley. There are a number of important regional centres such as Towcester, Wellingborough and Kettering, but in the extreme northeast of Northamptonshire, those soulless bureaucrats have been at work again, trying to pretend that the vast new town of Peterborough and the Soke are part of Cambridgeshire – quite wrong, these are Northamptonshire.  All this is tied up with the attempt to eliminate Huntingdonshire, which they have also tried to give to Cambridgeshire.
